A Valuable TOOL...

Fellow Google Apps classmates,

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated as I intend to make this a primary form to communicate with my students' families.

• I hope to add pics/videos instead of printing copies I have been doing each week on my own computer.
• I intend to send the monthly newsletter on this blog instead of a printed copy.
• I will put our monthly calendars on the blog.
• I will post the monthly poem we recite and answer WH questions about. 
• I will invite the families to our scheduled events and family activities. 

I just tried uploading a video from Youtube to be able to include these links for the parents of relevant videos.  The process was simple, I look forward to including these on my blog

May begins our new COOKING unit

CLASS Y60 Learns to COOK

We will create many dishes during this unit ranging from fruit designed shaped animals to bread and butter.  All items will be made from our students hands. 

We will research recipes from cookbooks, the internet and any favorite recipes your family likes please feel free to share with our class. 

 We will create shopping lists based from the recipes. Next, we will take a community trip to the supermarket to purchase the necessary items to cook.  

Lastly, we will have several culminating activities, we will create a video demonstration of one recipe we created as a class. We will create a restaurant in our classroom to serve our food items we prepared.  We also plan to create a class book to publish to our fellow classes and families to show the process we went through in this unit to learn to cook.
